Meet Matthew

Matthew is a lifelong Texan & educator.

Matthew White is an attorney and educator with more than two decades of experience serving Texas families and schools. He currently works as a litigation attorney handling probate, business and consumer matters, with some limited family law work. While he is not currently taking court appointments, Matthew has represented children in Tarrant County CPS cases.

Matthew also has over a decade of experience working in public education, serving most recently as an associate principal at GCISD Collegiate Academy on the TCC Northeast Campus. He began his career in education as an English teacher and football coach in Copperas Cove ISD.

Matthew is married to Lauren White, an attorney and partner with a Dallas law firm. Together, they are raising three children, two of whom attend Dove Elementary and one who will start pre-K in the fall. 

Work Experience

2021 - Present. General practice litigator based in Tarrant County, Texas, focusing on probate and trust matters, injury and negligence cases, consumer protection, business disputes, and some limited family law work.

2018-2021 - Associate Principal at Collegiate Academy at Tarrant County College Northeast.

2015-2018 - Assistant principal and learning liaison at Grapevine Middle School.

2009 - 2015 - Litigation and criminal defense attorney.

2001-2006 - English teacher and football coach in Copperas Cove ISD.

Education

2015 - Educational Leadership and principal certification from the University of North Texas.

2009 - JD from Texas Tech University School of  Law

2000 - BA from Angelo State University
